Frequently Asked Questions

My radiator leaked last winter and during the fall months my floor started to shift and buckle – What do you suggest to do?

The water has been removed from the surface yet still exists under the wood floor and on the sub floor. After a certain period of time the humidity tries to escape and this is the reason for the wood floor to shift and buckle. The solution for this is to remove the wood floor and allow the sub floor to dry and before you install a new hard wood floor you must apply special material to stop the humidity from further problems in the future.

I purchased a new wood floor over 10 years ago the colors and the refinishing is fading - what should I do?

After a certain number of years (depending on amount of usage) the floor has to be refinished again. This is accomplished through sanding and a new coat of polyurethane.
